Few days ago, i walked along the sensor panels and they started sounding. I was startled but I didn't sense anything was wrong. I decided to go to the washroom and when I turned to my side, i noticed the sensor tag was stuck to my blouse. I suspected the pharmacist of doing it but i had nothing to prove it. I went back to the store and glared at him. He grinned at me and i gave him a sheepish smile. I saw some sensor tags on the table and thought that maybe one of them got stuck accidentally on my blouse. I dismissed the thought that the pharmacist was behind it. It was quite embarrassing though. Today, i stood near the sensor panels, looking out at other stores as there weren't any customers. Unexpectedly, the sensor panels sounded again. Not again, I thought. Then I noticed the pharmacist laughing. He said " why are u always sounding the sensor panels?" Jeez... i was such a fool. It was his doing!!! I asked him if he stuck it on me and he denied. He then confessed that he threw it on me and asked if i wanted to try again. What a mad guy. So embarrassing... Felt like digging a hole and burying my head in... Posted by Lynette at

It started out fine at first. I assigned her some tasks to do. Whenever i asked her if she knew how to perform the task, she would say " ya..ya..i know". After awhile, when i asked her if she had completed her tasks, she would say "so many customers,... can't do". I was utterly pissed. I was so exasperated. Time went by slowly and she kept counting down to the time that we can knock off. I was constantly reminded of time that i can knock off. It was a little irritating, but i personally feel that we cannot have such a work attitude. It was saddening to learn that she was lazy. In the end, i had to complete most the tasks i assigned to her myself. She managed to complete one only. Haiz... What pissed me off was when the time drew near to closing the shop. I was attending to the final customer of the day when the phone rang. I asked her to answer the phone but she was reluctant to do so. She insisted that the phone wasn't ringing. This went on for about 30 sec before the customer finally said that the phone was ringing. She then went to get the phone. She took her time to get to the phone. Definitely by the time she reached the phone, it would have stopped ringing. When she got back to the cashier counter, she told me " when we are busy, we don't need to answer the phone." What can i say? She really tested my patience. What a day! Posted by Lynette at

Over the table, daddy, mummy and i crapped like nobody's business. Full of nonsense, talking about crazy fellows and my mummy denying that she's sick. Stubborn to see a doc, can't persuade her to go to the doc. In the end, we gave up. Took my breakfast accompanied by a cup of almond drink. Yummy!!! Still cooling down from the jog, i started playing com games again. Until around 12pm, went for a refreshing bath. Felt wonderful... Brought babe home from school again. And had lunch. Boring routine actually... No life.. Wanna read my novel liao... Posted by Lynette at

Amazingly, at work today, didn't even need to speak madarin. Broke my record man. Haha... felt so relieved. I think if customers wanna me speak in mandarin, they will only understand one sentence out of 10 sentences. There was one incident where this old man asked me for Olay products. He used mandarin for the brand's name. I was totally unaware that Olay was called ____ oil (covert to mandarin). In the end had to ask other customers. So paiseh... When i told my family, they were giggling like mad. I think i really need to brush up on my mandarin. It is extremely terrible.. A few Malay customers came to Guardian to look for certain products. Approached them and they spoked to me in Malay. Jeez.. asked them to speak to me in English and they carried on in malay. Luckily, Laina came over in time and answered to their needs. Haha, i think i must put lots of powder on my face when i go to work on sat. Otherwise people think i'm a malay. So jia lat. Why liddat. I chinese ok? CHINESE!!! Area manager, Ms Serene came to our outlet for inspection. Shit! I was working alone at that time. Gave me so many instructions to follow. Felt so pressurized with her around. Asked me if any of my frenz wanna work part-time at guardian.. hey guys, wanna work call or msg me hor. thanks... heehee Posted by Lynette at

At work, the pharmacist was slacking and kept talking to me. Kept persuading me to tutor primary school kids instead of working at Guardian. He's a little mad... Who cares... Did the normal routine work and sales was still not improving. So sad.. Was busy for a few hours and then totally slacked. Nothing to do, kept finding work to do but my colleague, Laina, is a capable worker. Everything completed before i could even touch the work. Haha.. one of my favourite colleagues there. Closed shop at 10pm. Accounts for the nite was done real fast. Completed in 10mins. Broke record. Managed to catch the free shuttle bus to yishun. Reached home at about 10.30pm. Did not manage to watch my korean show. Damnz... Nvm. Dun wanna watch it already. Ate my favourite noodles, shiok man!!! Jeez... confirm fat one. Didn't exercise and took supper some more. Die liao... Posted by Lynette at
It was stock-taking day for Guardian. Reached there at about 7.30pm and was assigned to count the stock at the Maybelline bay. Sharks!! Lots to count and kinda messy. Women are women. Always messing up the entire bay. Took more than 2 hrs to count the Maybelline stocks. Pharmacist chatted with me for awhile. Felt uncomfy having him stand there while i was counting the stocks. Then he left after other colleagues came back from their dinner. Phew... Carried on counting stocks for Lo'real, skincare products until 1am. Really exhausted. Took a cab home with my in-charge. Nice lady.. lucky to have her as my in-charge. Before going to bed, chatted with my bro for around an hour. We crapped... talked about school...and my workplace. By the time we ended our conversation, already 2 plus am. Damn tired. Slept through the morn until 8.20am. Intended to go for a jog but was too exhausted and lazy to step out of my house. Getting fatter as the days pass by.. oh no!!! Posted by Lynette at

Fortunately, the rain died down to a drizzle. Reached my workplace at about 8.35 am. Did the neccessary documents and opened shop. Served customers, merchandised and cashiering. It was quite tiring. Mouth was so dry from all the promoting and serving. I don't understand why but any chinese who went to Guardian to inquire and purchase some products would ask me whether i was a chinese. Don't i look like one? They would ask " Do u know how to speak mandarin? Are u a malay?" I know my mandarin is atrocious. While conversing, they would ask again to confirm that i was a chinese.. Jeez... This happened countless times ever since i worked. Otherwise, they would ask whether i was a mixed blood. Today, this Chinese lady came to the shop to buy a bottle of mineral water. She spoke to me in English asking me whether i was a mixed blood coz i looked like a Eurasian. She mentioned that my eyes looked malay... When i told her i was a chinese, she asked me if my mummy was a malay... wth My looks run in my family's genes. My daddy looks ang moh, my mummy looks peranakan, my bro looks chyna and my sis looks like a typical singaporean(normal). Haiz... should i try plastic surgery and go for MJ's looks? 3 holes in the nose, so cooool... Posted by Lynette at

Worked in the early morning, bored until cannot describe. i think i could have played several games of monopoly, uno and scrabble, hor baoyi?? One thing bad about working the morning shift is not being able to visit the loo. I endured for several hours until my bladder felt like giving way anytime. Lucikly my in-charge came in at 2pm. Rushed to the loo and wow... felt so relieved... Worked till 4pm then went home. In the night, went out with my family to the park to celebrate mid-autumn festival. Daddy set up a fire in like 10 sec. Can't believe it. He grabbed some branches(thick and thin) and lots of leaves. Placed one of the sparkles in the middle of all the branches and leaves. And the fire started. I stayed close to the fire, fearing the mosquitoes would attack me. I was so happy. I had one mosquito bite only. Hahaha... Broke my record of the least mosquito bites. Mua haha... Played some sparkles and lit up lots of candles. My sis killed ants with her sparkles and candles, such an evil girl. Bro joined her as well. I'm the most saint one. hahaha... Mummy was the best sparkles thrower. Strike 8. Must be lucky lucky hook up on the trees one. She was so cartoon. Ran like a big baby. What a cute mummy! Daddy fed us mac's chicken foldover. Yum yum!!!Enjoyed this family outing... memorable day... Posted by Lynette at

Anyway, we watched Brothers Grimm. Quite a nice movie, comprised of the collection of children fairy tales. I give it 3.5 out of 5. Rather hilarious, some scary scenes which made me jump and a little romance added in. After leaving the freezing cinema, we walked to Taka to shop. Didn't manage to meet Mr Lumpy. One of my objectives to go out yesterday was to meet Lumpy.. why weren't u working?! nvm... we shall meet some day. Walked and walked and walked until we reached Wisma. Visited sher's favourite "under the world". According to yz, it was our honour for the one and only shark in the tank to swim over to where we were watching. Probably.. haha.. Sher's so observant. She noticed the mannequin's jeans zipper wasn't zipped properly. Maybe the pants were too tight for her. Who knows?? Afterwhich, we proceeded to Orchard MRT where we had an "illegal" gathering. Stood there for about 15 mins before we came to a final conclusion. Singapore's really too small. Can somebody do something about it?! NO nice place to walk. Possible to walk around Singapore in 3 weeks... Next stop for me shall be Sentosa, which is yet to be confirmed. Gals, quick hor.. gotta work leh...haha, no lah.. Congrats to Stephie for passing her driving test and congrats to baoyi for getting A in her jap. Cheers!!! 'Lainee's abit off yesterday... dunno why... most likely she forgot to take her medicine.
