The Straits Times, Thursday (23 February 2006): S. Rajaratnam passes on...This attention grabbing headline brought me sitting down on my living room sofa, flipping through the pages of the Straits Times. Then i went on to the Home section and ran through the articles of his great contributions to Singapore. To my amazement, his birthday is just 2 days later... Hmm.... having read quite a number of articles with people either passing away 2 wks prior to their birthdays or 2 wks after their birthday. Is this just pure coincidence or wat? Up till now, i still can't figure out why... And he is to be cremated today, 25 February 2006. Singapore has yet lost another great man who built up this fishing island...

The next headline was under the Sports section. Singapore scored 2-0 in the match against Iraq!!! Omg... is this real or just a dream? Did the Red Lions improve so much that they can beat Iraq hands down? Or is it sheer luck? Probably this is the first time that the Red Lions beat Iraq in a soccer match. Haha... but personally, i do not feel that the Singapore national team has reached the an international level yet. Maybe in the near future, it will. But at present, it's still at an amateur level...
