Eager to check out my examination results, i tried my luck at 8.40 am to log into Npal. The first few digits which caught my eye was my GPA. I was utterly stunned and surprised. After my state of recovery from this shock, i jumped around, shouting for my parents. My daddy came in to view my grades and was nodding his head. hehe.. Did quite well, satisfactory enough. Thus another step nearer to my dream of entering the uni. However, the grades were kinda weird. Although i did not manage a single AD, my GPA was still above 3.5... Pretty startling news for me. Anyway, all's over and time to start a new semester. + Congrats to all who did well. + Dun be too disappointed to those who did not achieve their desired outcome. Jia you!!

A bright and sunny morning turned dark while Soonie, Stephie, Shermal and i went all the way down to pasir ris park to cycle. The rain was light but still hindered our plans to cycle. Fortunately, the rain died down while we were cycling. After an hour, we quit cycling and decided to head down to Changi Airport to view various planes' takeoff.
However, from where we were, no planes actually took off. Haiz... Anyway, we took pictures of ourselves and we had this picture reflection craze going on. Most of the photographs we shot were reflections. It was a sight at the airport since i haven't been there for several years. lol... sua gu.. Turned out to be a pretty good day after all. This coming friday will be the release of the final semestral examination results. I wonder how i fared... A tinge of apprehension and fear surrounds me.. Although i did my studies, i was less hardworking compared to the previous semester. I was too engrossed in my mapling that i neglected my schoolwork somehow. Therefore, if i did not do well this sem, i only have myself to blame. And the repair work will start immediately. However, if my core modules are satisfactory, hehe... i shall just play thru the break and start working again when the new yr starts. I hoping for the latter to come true.. haha... But is it possible?? A step nearer or a a step further to my dream? All shall be revealed on 24 March 2006.

Last friday, i had tennis as usual and the secretary broke the news to me that i was chosen to run trial for the scool team. Getting into the school team was a dream, but i wasn't keen on the idea. Thus, i was in a dilemma. Should i or should i not join the school team? Having joined the school team meant getting to know another group of seniors, going for frequent competitions, more training and the worst was a different coach... I am so attached to this group of people, i dun bear to leave them.. Haiz... So wat am i to do??? School team = prestige + school jacket + tennis outfit Beginners/Intermediate team = frenz + fun + laughter Which do i choose???

Early this morning, stephie and i went back to school to have a game of tennis. The sun was so glaring and sweltering hot. It was baking the entire tennis court. Nevertheless, we started our game. And oops... i lost touch and every ball i hit was either out of court or flying over the high fences. At the end of the session, i parked one of stephie's balls in a residential area and made another soaking wet. Omg... i was so embarrassed. So sorry stephie... =X Stephie's playing was so strategic, always trying to make me run about. Wanna kill me izzit?!?!? haha... jk jk... It was tiring, so we quit playing after about 2 hrs. And the sun was merciless. Still covering us in its heat. No doubt we couldn't withstand it so we sat at the benches to chat. Till 12 nn, we left the courts headed to the washroom. Sprayed stephie with lots of my nice-smelling spray. It was such a sight, seeing her coughing and coughing from the strong smell. hehe... And she did the same to me. Only that i was used to it so haha... was affected much.. hehe... After the fun in the washroom, we strolled back to the school's bus stop and we went our separate ways. Upon reaching home, i had to immediately prepare to go to work. I was so damn tired but there was no choice. I couldn't back down at the last minute. It would be irresponsible of me. So i went to work halfheartedly and nearly dozed off while working. Paced around the shop countless times and there was no crowd!! Therefore, time passed like snails walking up a long winding road... finally when it was time to close shop, i was woo~ so happie!!! + Thanks stephie!! It was much fun!

This is my first time to Kbox and it was a wonderful experience. Sher, Stephie, Soonie and i sang continuously for 5 hrs!!! My voice was hoarse after the singing session. haha... soonie was so cute. Asked me to take some honey lemon drink. As per normal, all of us went crazy again, especially soonie. Sher's vocals was wow! Loved her singing. She should have participated in Project Superstar. Luv sher to bits... And all of them knew every song except me. Haiz... i am pathetic. Really gotta get in touch with those trendy songs... haha... Not only that, my singing was the most terrible among all of them. The reason to why i never sing in public. Apparently the room was freezing cold and i was shivering from head to toe. My teeth was jittering non-stop and the pipping coffee did not help. It turned cold within 15 mins. So the little heat it provided faded as fast as it came. Eventually, i was back to my shivering again. The lightings were quite interesting. They fascinated sher so much, she was ogling at them. lol... Everything turned out well. It was a pleasant day. A day to remember...

Went downtown with mummy and babe today to finish up the Isetan vouchers that mummy kept since last yr. Lol... 20 mins into the start of our shopping spree, babe had a terrible tummy ache and needed the washroom badly. Then she complained of being too hungry, so we walked back to Wisma to have our lunch. Halfway thru her lunch, she had another attack again. Geez... Pity her man... having to suffer during an outing. After lunch, we brisked walk back to Isetan and continued with our shopping. The clothes were too revealing, so we opted for the hyper market. Woo... spent $50 plus there... just buying some stuff.. And i finally had my mochi!!! haha... This marked the end of our shopping in orchard for the day.

Today was a hectic day. I worked continuously from 8.40am to 4.10pm before I ended my shift for the day. I was dead tired. My feet were aching terribly and I was beyond hungry. I have a list of activities ahead of me for next week... Mon: Orchard with mum Tues: Kbox with gals Wed: Tennis with Stephie Thurs: Work Fri: Tennis with tennis mates Sat: Work Sun: Work Omg... I'm damn busy... lol + Enjoy ur holidays peeps! Posted by Lynette at

Tuesday was my first day of work after 6 long months. Upon arriving at my workplace, i was kinda surprised to see so many store managers and the area manager. And my in-charge was so siao. She threw her arms around me and hugged me so tight, over faces were plastered to each other's! Omg... i nearly died of embarrassment. Amira grabbed my hands and started dancing. Jeez... a bunch of fun-loving gals... The normal ones gave me a welcoming smile and had a brief chat with all of them. There were lots of stuff to get done and i finished my assigned tasks by 6.30pm. The rest of the 4 hrs, i was either doing my rounds or serving customers. And my feet hurt again, as usual. Haiz... At 6.30pm, i went to the food junction to buy my dinner. Omg.. the ah pek there was so friendly. haha... I ordered minced meat noodles (which i can hardly pronounce in mandarin, so i used english) and the ah pek was like "huh?". I was so pai seh. I tried in mandarin and he got me this time round. Surprisingly, he spoke to me in english and wanted to give me 10% discount!!! I rejected coz i wanted to clear my coins... hehe... my purse was choking with coins. And he accepted my $3 but gave me an extra wanton. I was like... "urm.. thank you uncle". The cook was looking at me and smiling away. I believed my face was as red as a baboon's buttock. First day of work and woo~ so many interesting things happened.

For the first time in my life, i watched two consecutive movies in a day! Along with the other 5 gals, we watched Pink Panther followed by Big Mama's House 2. They were extremely hilarious. The storyline of both movies were similar, about breaking cases and there's always a happy ending. Pink Pather made me giggle throughout the movie. There was this particular segment in the movie where Crusoe wanted to polish his french accent into an american accent. Therefore, he hired a professional instructress to help him. And the sentence he had to learn was " I would like to have a hamburger." Owing to his french accent, his pronounciation was omg... haha... made the entire theatre break out in laughter. Big Mama's House 2 was very heartwarming. The family that Big Mama served became closer and Molly, the eldest daughter, willingly confided in Big Mama. Big Mama is acted by Martin Lawrence and he did a superb job. Bravo! I loved Andrew, the youngest kid in the Fuller's family. He enjoyed jumping from high grounds and landing on his face but still looked up and giggled. haha... wish i had a little brother like him... luv him to bits! Yesterday was a fabulous day! I thoroughly enjoyed both movies. Thanks gals. A make-up for Constant Gardener...

When i retire from the working force, i have this fantasy of leading a beautiful life in a cottage at the green meadows in Switzerland... Little sparrows sat themselves comfortably on my ivory white window silt, chirping merrily to welcome the brand new day. The big fireball was working up again, to set the world with brightness. Sunlight streamed into my room, making it crimson gold. The beauty that surrounded me was just like in heaven. I laid on my silky white four-poster bed and breathed in the freshness of the meadow. Looking out of the windows from where i laid, my room overlooked the green pasture. The diary cows were enjoying themselves thoroughly, nibbling on the juicy, sweet grass. The feeling of serenity and peacefulness were overwhelming. I hopped out of bed and dressed in sports gear, getting ready for my daily jog round the lake near my cottage. The crystal clear lake sparkled under the brightly shining orange-yellow ball. They were like tiny diamonds sparkling, showing off their glow. After my refreshing jog, i would prepare for myself a glass of piping hot coffee, accompanied with sausages, a sunny side-up and lots of lettuce. If only every morning was as beautiful as this....

Long after the screening of I Not Stupid Too, i finally managed to catch this movie. Accompanying me were my mummy and babe.. We caught the mid afternoon show which started late as usual. Here's a breakdown of the movie... Synopsis: This movie emcompasses issues faced in Singapore. The highlights were family upbringing, blogging and teacher assaulting the student. The latter was a hot topic in the recent past which caused a stir up in the country. As a result of improper upbringing, the lead actors (Tom and Chengcai) turned to crimes and mixed with bad company. Although their parents loved them dearly, they were unable to express themselves well... The key to communicate with the children nowadays is critical. Critics: Touching and many learning issues for parents and teachers alike. Very current issues that brought the attention of many... And most impotantly, it was hilarious. A mixture of dialect, english and mandarin, a Singapore icon. Loved Jerry! So innocent yet sensible... Tom and Chengcai are hmm... gettting better-looking as they progress into their teens... haha... Ratings: 4 stars out of 5 Posted by Lynette at |
