After one and the half years in NP, i shall consider this my first time participating in the National Day celebrations organised by the school. Firstly, a video motage was shown. Then, a short musical was put up by the Poly Stage Productions team. It was about this girl who was born on National Day and does not know the importance of this day. So, her mum was explaining to her the life she led when she was a young girl in Singapore. Kinda no link.. but that was basically it. Putting the musical aside, i wanna make mention of the clappers. They were a cute little thingy. But they were made quite a din when everyone were busy rattling them. lol.. Ok, back to the musical. The hip hop dance captured my attention the most. The dancers were so flexible and soft. The robotic moves were simply gorgeous. Just so fascinated how they could move their limbs that way. And there was the retro dance by the lecturers and tutors. LOL!! I had a really good laugh at that segment. The lecturers can surely groove around. This can be considered the best performance in the entire musical. As usual, MAGNUM FORCE will round up every show. And as expected, there will be flaws. I understand it is not very tough to be perfect but there will always be one girl falling and the crowd will go oooooh.. haha.. That's about it. Lasted for an hour or so and we sang Stand Up for Singapore twice! What the.. didn't even allow us to enjoy the National Day theme song for the year. Quite dumb huh? Goodie bag --> shoe bag plus 1 bottle of mineral water plus 2 singapore flag stickers and the little clappers. -_-" At least better than nothing. haha.. so must be contented..
