Record Breaking

Miraculously, i arrived in school at 9am sharp even though i woke up 15 minutes late. How lucky. Got to the task of jogging round the school tracks. Just as i was about to go for my 7th round, elina walked into the stadium. Ended my 6th round which was 2.4km. Just right for NAPFA.
Chatted for a short while and she was kinda too tired to jog, so i followed her to the 3rd storey where the school's admin office for sports was. Had a brief talk with Mr Jalal on some tennis issues. Afterwhich, we proceeded to the tennis courts.
Argh!! So packed! Can't even take a spot to train. In the end, elina and i strolled back to the sports complex to do more rounds. Completed a total of 10 rounds in 30 mins plus. Shagged man.. I was half dead and she claimed she wasn't tired =.= She's one power woman. Fittest girl i've came across thus far. I was nowhere compared to her in terms of stamina and speed.
Since the rest were still playing tennis after we had completed our jog, we had to walk back to the tennis courts again. Kinda tiring but what to do? Had to join them for lunch. And it was Chris' birthday. Once again, went to Mac. =x Sian..
The calories burnt were input back again. After lunch, went straight home. Woots~~

Events for the week

Let me give a brief update on the past 3 days. Too lazy to go into details.
Monday (25/9): Slacked at home to await for time to pass. Day of IS enrolment. Did enrolment for stephie and myself. Both of us got into the same class for EM, luckily. The rest did not. Pretty upset about that. Bro's fren came over to reformat at slowpoke com. Finally it worked properly. The happiness made up for the sadness.
Tuesday(26/9): Went for tennis in the morn. Played with brandon till 2pm. Took my bath and lunch, proceeded to Orchard with tailun and chris. Intended to go for a movie but was kinda late so we had a change of plans. Waited for eugene to reach cine before we went to heeren to source for chris' bdae prezzie. Bought him a shirt. Looked quite presentable on him. Had dinner and walked around PS for awhile. Took the train to AMK to play at the arcade with eugene and chris. Finally, aboard the bus and head home. Tiring day.
Wednesday(27/9): Met at cineleisure for a kbox session with stephie, soonie, shermal and my bro. The air seemed slightly awkward, probably coz they dun know my bro well. But i thought it went on quite fine. Time seemed to crawl by today. Apparently, our kbox session was kinda long. Anyway, it ended at 7pm whereby bro and i went to scotts for dinner. Had jap food. Bloated after the meal. Chatted all the way home.

Further Disappointment

The past few days hadn't gone very well for me. Tennis was my only consolation. Trained a total of 3 times this week. Early this morning, i went for a jog with elina before proceeding to Kismiss for tennis. Saw him sitting there chatting with audrey. Sian... Gotta face that awkward silence between us again.
It's a disappointment to see how a friendship turned sour over a simple remark which was meant as a joke. Shouldn't guys be more open to teases than girls? It seemed otherwise here. Anyway, elina urged me to talk to him but i guess it wasn't necessary. Bro told me it was not my fault so i shouldn't make the first move.
Intended to go for lunch with all of them but on thinking that he will be there, i skipped lunch. Went straight home after my bath. Seeing him has already filled my appetite.
After this incident, i began thinking through on the criteria i looked for in a man. As long as a guy possesses either trait on being petty or proud, you are out of my league. I had seen enough pettiness going on in my life. I ain't taking anymore of that.

Nothing Went Right

Recently, nothing has gone right in my life. Firstly, my desktop died on me. It became so lag suddenly and i can hardly maple. It's so cranky that it auto shutdown on its own. Damn pissed.
Secondly, ah tan made me very disappointed. I guess we fell out with each other and things will never revert back to before. Hadn't even spoke a single word to each other after our conversation on tuesday. Haiz..
Thirdly, 4 of my gfs are not in the same class for the next semester. I don't understand why there is a need to choose our own timetable. Can't the school admin staff plan for us? Made me really depressed. At least we can still meet during lunch and lectures. Going to miss those gals so much.
Just 3 days and so much had happened. Feel so helpless. I just wanna close out myself from the world and live in my nutshell for a little while. Perhaps this is one of the lower times in life. Sad...

Earrings a Fancy!

Earrings - my very first pair of permanent accessories. After 18 years, i've finally decided to pierce my ears. Firstly, to look more feminine. Secondly, to think of my grand day ahead. lol! That's some bull crap. Urged on by sher and lainee, i mustered enough courage to go for it.
At the entrance of 77th street, i could feel my confidence level starting to ebb. Heart pounding like i just sprinted a 100 metres.
Felt so lost in there. Sat atop the high stool and waited for the sales lady to inject two holes into my flawless ears. To be honest, i was waiting for her to take the alcohol swab to numb my earlobes. Who knows, i felt a sudden stinging pain in my right ear. By then, i knew that there was no anasthetic before the piercing took place. So i feared the second shot. The pain came as soon as it was shot into my left ear. Both my earlobes were freaking red. Quickly, she dabbed my ears with alcohol to ease the pain.
My first time experience. Left me slightly dazed after that. The growing pain and hotness, owwwwww... if only i were able to rip off my ears and let them heal before i STITCH them back on. How wonderful that would be.
Now comes thehealing process. I'm going to suffer but eventually, i will be able to change my earrings! Looking forward to that day....

Today is the gal's day. Met at cineleisure to have Suki Sushi. The sushi was nice but the rice was granular. Broke up very easily, causing my entire saucer of sauce to be filled with rice. It was quite depressing to see the grains of rice being soaked up in the sea of brown fluid.
I guess i took more than 5 plates of sushi and 2 glasses of lime juice. As usual, jokes and craps went flying around the table. And ah fok was the topic of the day. So yummy but very quickly, my tummy was filled. Might be due to the glutinous japanese rice or that i was too hungry. But the food was quite delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed the lunch with the gals. We hardly ran out of topics to talk as a group, that's why every outing with them lengthens my life by a few more years.
After lunch, we strolled to Heeren to pierce ears. Sher and i each took 2 shots. Hurt. Elaborated in the next entry. We hung out at Heeren until almost time to catch our movie, The Devil Wears Prada.
A really hilarious show which describes the fashion world, where most of us took their arts and design for granted. One simple colour can make a huge difference. Pretty amazing. Loved the show. Miranda is my favourite character in the show, besides Andre. Sadly, there were no handsome guys to add flavour to the show. Only one charming guy who turned out to be quite a jack arse. My $7 had been well spent.
Damn tired after the movie and all of us headed home except stephie who had to attend her chalet. What a busy gal.

Date with Tennis Peeps

It seems like the rainy season of the year has arrived once again. Shortly into the tennis training, a slight drizzle grew into a heavy rain. We were stranded at the block once more. Everyone slacked around, chatting and joking away. I was buried in my book, trying to finish it as soon as possible before ah tan lends me the next one.
After coach left, many of them dispersed as well. I rushed to the bathroom to take a shower and brisk walked to KAP for lunch. I'm scared of eating Mac already. I had it for more than 5 times in this past 4 weeks. Gives me the shudders when Mac is mentioned.
After lunch, we took a bus down to town to catch a movie with the others [weijie, audrey, chris, dave and yi hong]. As the movie starts at 4.30pm, we accompanied weijie to LJ for his lunch. There was much teasing going on over the table.
Time passed really fast. Soon, it was 4.30pm and we got into the theatre a few minutes late. Little man had already begun. The show has a very simple storyline peppered with bits of laughter here and there.
Little man, Kevin, was a robber who was wanted by the police force for stealing a diamond worth millions. As he was being chased after by the police, along with his partner, Padi, he dropped the diamond into a lady's handbag who eventually became his 'mummy'. So, he had to design a plan to retrieve the diamond back. Padi thought of Kevin posing as a baby and there the story goes. Blah blah blah.. eventually, the diamond was handed over to the police. That's about it. lol.. sounds boring but the part where i didn't mentioned contained lots of jokes. Lazy to elaborate. haha..
After movie, we went to PS for dinner. I ate at Mac again. Damnz.. After which, we strolled to New Cathay to view the Adidas shop. Very cooling inside but nothing much. Most of the stores were still under renovation.
Finally, we ended our walking spree and went home. Damn tired sia..

Announcement of Results

15 Sept 2006: Release of 2006 semestral examination results
Initial feelings: Down and was expecting the worst
My internet died on me. Thus, i was unable to check my results from home. Called up bro to check for me.
After knowing my results, relieve overcame me. I was pretty stunned at first and my only reply to bro was " are u sure? really? u sure??". With his reassuring "yes", i shouted out my GPA to mummy and rushed to YCK. No time to celebrate at all.
But the level of excitement and good feel died down almost immediately. I was sure everyone would be asking around for each other's GPA and what's more i constantly repeated that i will not do well. I seriously thought so. I guess no one will believe me now. Haiz..
Perhaps there was moderation because many did not do well. So, by getting a high score among the worst, the resultant was as such. Perhaps it's always better to hush on such stuff. The ending results are way beyond your imagination at times. There is no doubt about it.
For the final time, i beg for your understanding. I was not lying. Every word i said was true. If no one believes me, who will?

Wet Weather

Owing to the wet weather, tennis was cancelled. Rushed down to Kismiss and in the end, the rain grew from a drizzle to a downpour. Damnz.. what luck. Predicted by coach, once yi hong finished rolling the courts dry, the rain will come. True enough, it did. And we had to seek shelter at the nearby blocks which is stranded in the middle of nowhere.
Chatted for more than an hour but the rain did not die down. We stayed on till 1pm when wei jie's bro came to fetch him. Chris, dave and eugene took a hitch and i parted way with them to meet mummy for shopping!
Bought my first levis jeans. How happie! Shortly after purchasing the pair of jeans, i spotted polo tees , 2 for $36. So cheap!! Must buy coz they are cheap and nice. lol.. sounds like those pasa malam aunties.
Then we headed over to RSH to buy my new pair of sportshoes. Made a quick purchase and out we go, over to Converse. Mummy refused to buy me the Puma canvas shoes, so i dragged her to Converse. whaha.. managed to get one pair of canvas shoes. I guess i spent a total of $300?
Got a warning from mum. "NO more clothings and shoes for u." oops.. lol.. can't help it. The itch to buy is instantaneous.
My tummy was protesting since i was at Kismiss. Didn't take my lunch. So babe bought a McFlurry and shared it with me. Curbed my hunger for a short while, while we shopped in CS. Bought this and that and finally, we are out of CS and make our way to Northpoint for dinner. Causeway Point's foodmall was under renovation. Sianz.
Had korean spicy chicken set and i guess extreme hunger made oneself filled up very quickly. Soon, i was so full i couldn't take in anymore food. I gave up eating and mummy finished it up for me. haha.. such a sweetie.
Today's shopping spree was a "buy-my-things". Made babe pissed off, for whatever reason. 11 year old girls are easily jealous. haha..

Gal vs Guys

Once again, on a sunny monday morning, there was the inevitable tennis training. Dread the physical training we had to go through. The intensivity can leave you breathless and gasping for more air. And after training, all limbs are sore.
Met ah tan and dave at YCK to go to sch together for training. Dave was so absorbed in his storybook, he hardly spoke. Ah tan and i were chatting about games. Dave backed me up by saying maple's fun! woo hoo~ haha..
About 35 mins later, we were making our way towards the tennis courts. I thought i saw an old man walking in the opposite direction. Walking in front of me was dave and i could hardly see what's ahead of me. And so i wondered why the old man walked so slowly. 5 long mins passed and the old man was not in view. See how big dave is? haha.. oops. But he's really cute. Love him! Finally i spotted the old man. Ok.. no link.. back to the day's events.
We rallied abit and i missed every shot! &*#(&$*#! I was so paiseh. Hadn't trained for almost a week and the strokes went haywire. Argh!!! Coach arrived and he started serving balls. One fore hand and one back hand. Soon, the number of sets increased. 6 sets!! omg.. i was half dead. And the balls served were almost 180 degrees apart. Imagine having to run the width of the court with each ball served?!
What's worse was i was the only girl. -_-" And of course, i was the weakest player among them. I had lots of pressure. Shortly after, we were instructed to rally. 1 vs 2. I rallied till my arm nearly gave way. Until today, my shoulder blade still experiences bad sores. I think i badly need those deep-heat rubbing cream.
I thought coach's training was over but i was wrong! We had to undergo another set of training. OMG.. i wanted to die on the spot. Out of breathe already and still had to go for another round of training. What's more, my strokes were incorrect and i had to redo it more than 10 times. My legs were tao huay after that. Rallied abit more and called it a day.
Waited for the rest to round up their games before going for lunch. By the time we had lunch, it was 3pm. I was hungry beyond hunger. As usual, my gastric activated again. Luckily, it lasted for about 10 mins. Joked and laughed alot over lunch. Wei jie, dave, chris, ah tan and i lunched at AMK central. Ah tan intro-ed ban mian and ordered one bowl for me. Tasted good but such a big bowl. Left some little ikan bilis floating in the soup with the egg as their "soup" bed. My soul did not manage to rise. lol..
Shagged by the time i reached home. Had a quick shower, read my book and off to bed i went. Woke up at 7pm to play games. haha.. Sadly, i wasn't tanned. =(

National Accouting Quiz

For the third time running, the National Accounting Quiz (NAQ) was held in NP. It was such a large-scale event that more than 100 student helpers were needed. And i was one of them.
Playing my part as the usher for Montfort and Monk's Hill Sec Schs, i was given the duty of bringing them from one place to another. And this was definitely not only my credit. Credit went to Dickson as well. There wasn't much conversation going on with the sec sch pupils. A little awkward but can't be helped. Luckily there was dickson to entertain me. Otherwise, i would be bored to tears.
The NAQ made my head go groggy. The questions were tricky and challenging. I believe i would have failed the test if i had to do it. TOUGH is the word to describe the quiz.
Anyway, the best part was our refreshment period. Long queues forbade us to get our food as soon as possible. All of us were drowning in hunger. So the easiest way was to jump queue. haha.. bad seniors. But sorry man, we are starving. What if we faint? No one to usher you guys around and what if you guys get lost? So, must let the seniors eat first. ok.. CRAP
The five of us (Sherlin, Baoyi, Dickson, Guanhong, Xhi Ween and i) dug into our food and went for round 2. If i did not remember wrongly, we took about 4 plates of soon kueh and 1 plate of nine-layered kueh but couldn't finish them.. lol.. It was really funny and enjoyable.
The event only ended at 5pm sharp. Just tell me how happy i was to leave the school. Such a tiring day.

Zoooooooooo

After several years, my family is finally back to visit the zoologicals garden. We vaguely remembered the trails leading to the various parts of the zoo. Furthermore, there were renovation works being done and part of the trail was blocked off.
The current outlook of the zoo is far more attractive than the previous one. The previous one had dull, grey rocks and were full of greens. Now, the pictorial boards put up at every enclosure are in sandy brown colour. There is an entirely different feeling to it. Much livelier i would say.
However, i would not say the same for the animals. All of them looked so restless and ready to give up hope on life. Just notice the polar bear and you will agree. Swimming in circles with the same movements each time round. Imagine it has been doing that few actions for his past 30+ years. Such a poor thing.
Sometimes i feel animals enclosed in zoos lead mundane lives. Those in the wild are definitely happier than them. But nonetheless, animals in the zoo are protected and there is no fear of hunger unlike in the wild. Just seems like there are pros and cons to everything.
Anyway, we followed the map till we got messed up. This resulted in us missing a few stops. haha.. But there was much fun along the way. Mummy loved the racoons. Dunno why. Daddy told her to stay there and not go home. lol.. She tried to capture the attention of the racoon but to avail. Looked like an idiot man.. haha.. mummy's foreva a cutie.
So we walked continuously for 2hr plus with momentary breaks in between. I was perspiring till my shirt was in two shades of grey. In addition, my arms were throbbing in pain due to the previous day's intensive tennis rallies. How i wish i could dislocate my arms there and then.
We strolled back to the car and daddy fetched us to some place in woodlands for our lunch. Had waffle ice-cream. Shared with bro. Sooo yummy!! haha..
That marked the end of ur little family outing.

Edison Chen

Well, if u had been observant, u will notice a new link to my blog. It is none other than the popular celeb, Edison Chen!! Wondering how i managed to retrieve his blog address? haha.. i visited his friendster account and got his blog link from there.
Hong Kong's heartthrob originated from Shanghai. Unbelievable.. But he claimed that he is 1/8 turkish and 7/8 chinese. lol.. Interesting way to fraction out his nationality. If u guys are free, take a look at his friendster profile. Pretty interesting.
Anyway, enjoy reading his blog entries! So long..

Flushed Out

Slept at 5 plus am.. Woke up at 9 plus am.. Rise and shine before starting off on my maple. Time flew by and in an instance i was in school, awaiting for all the tennis mates to arrive. My tennis strokes still sucked. Occasionally, the balls go straight. More often than not, they are looping over. This is soooo soooo bad.
Stopped my game of tennis at 5 plus and headed down to beauty world with some of the tennis peeps. Beauty world is so run down.. To be honest, i didn't know where it was. It's an unnoticeable, white-washed building with half the shops closed at 6 plus pm. Business must be bad there. lol..
Anyway, took my leave from there and went home. I was shagged. Really shagged. Kept dozing off in the bus. Intended to count the number of stops from sch to home but failed to do so. Fatigue overcame me.. I slept and my head kept jerking forward. Looked like an idiot.
Finally reached home at 8pm. Took a shower and went online.. Oh geez.. just 1 hr plus into the game, my eyes were droopy. For the first time in countless months, i went to bed at 11 plus pm. Woot~~ so happie!! lol..

The symptoms of being shagged...

K-boxing

I always look forward to the day where the gals can hang out together. It seems like everytime we are together, there's so much to talk and laugh about. There was no way one can get bored in our company of six. And yesterday was not an exception.
With that said, i shall touch a little on our day out at marina and suntec. Dined at mac for lunch and so coincidentally, all of us had a fishy meal [fish dippers, fillet-o-fish burger]. After that heavy lunch, it was about time to start our singing session at Kbox!! Oh.. so excited. One of the best pastime one can have. But it's rather expensive, so can only indulge in it once in awhile.
We sang from 2pm till 7.15pm and were reluctant to leave until they chased us out. See how addictive kbox is? Thoroughly enjoyed it although we had to plaster our eyes to the tv screen for 5 straight hours. Sher and soonie should give it a try at project superstar. Both can sing really well. And i dunno what's wrong with by. Just refuses to sing. Kinda disappointed. I sing like s**t yet i still sing rite? Who cares? Just pity those that have to listen to my terrible singing. Stephie sang till her voice went hoarse. lol.. so funny. And lainee... sang her english songs. She sure does know all the english songs well.. cool!
After k-boxing, we headed to suntec city. BY cultivated the hobby of playing gachapons. Loved to turn those machines which will drop out a circular container of figurines. haha.. Finally, we could take our dinner. Had some hot stuff after the freeze in the kbox room. All of us were tired after such a long day. All that fun came to an end as we headed back to our home sweet homes.
