Ah tan's bdae!

Shrieks!!! It's ah tan's bdae!! Yippee!!! Too bad i can't go home with him today. Sighs.. stephie jie and shermal persistently prevented me from going home with him. Why why why?!?!?!?
I have come up with a plan on the way home and hope it works. Mua ha ha ha ha.. I'm no longer the goodie girl who goes home after school everyday. Anyway, i never once was a goodie girl. Was i? haha.. oh well, nevermind about it as long as the plan works.
Made an embarrassing phone call to his home in the middle of the night which hung up on me 45 seconds later. Damnz... And it was his mum who answered it. Thanks to dave and his brilliant idea. Thereafter, he was laughing and teasing me about it again.
He must be celebrating his birthday now. Whoosh.. hope he has a wonderful celebration. Happy birthday! =p

Single Date 2

My intention to give him his birthday present on the day itself ended up with both of us catching a movie at J8. Just less than an hour before the movie started, we hurried to S11 for our lunch. I was pretty disorientated in J8 although i had been there several times recently. Call me dumb, i guess this word fits me right.
Immediately after lunch, we brisked walk back to J8 and i wanted to head in the direction of the escalators. Ah tan laughed at me. "Miss, why are u walking there? Take the lift. hahaha" I sounded like a real idiot.
Into the theatre we went. Settled ourselves down and less than a quarter hour later, The Guardian begun. It was a touching and heartwarming story to see the US Coast Guards so determined to save every life which faced the possibility of death in the turbulent sea. Ashton Kutcher and Mr I-dunno-who were the main casts of the show. Many a times, the show displayed the patriotism and loyalty the USCG had towards their jobs. Deeply impressed.
Soon after the movie, we paid dave a visit. Well, he had another reason to tease me after he saw both of us together. Ah tan was nice enough to reply his message which he sent over. I was quite startled by what ah tan wrote in the msg, afraid he gave the wrong signal and big dave was enjoying every bit of it.
We went to Popular to purchase some stationeries which i required. After window shopping for several more minutes, we were on our way to the bus stop, heading towards home. I don't understand why he refused to take the train but preferred the buses which could save us lots of time. Guys are really weird at times...
Anyway, it was a sweet little outing. Enjoyed it thoroughly. =))

Streaks of Pain

I woke up with a stinging pain on the right side of my body. It was a wednesday morning. Presuming that it was just a sudden piercing pain which will ease off soon, i prepared to go to school. On the way to the bus stop, it struck again. I stopped for a split second, clasping hard at my side.
In school, it hurt every now and then. Still, i thought nothing of it. Into the night, it worsened. The pain stayed on for hours till i felt like slicing that part of me off. In fact, that acute pain haunted me since monday morning.
Fearing that it could be some intestinal or gastric problem, i went to visit the doc on thursday night. It turned out to be a muscle strain and gastric problems. I was exempted from tennis for 2 long weeks. Oh man... And i am not allowed to take spicy, cold, sour and oily food. Damn it. Doc advised me to take porridge or soup. That's so sad.
I really want to go back to tennis. I wanna train!!! Haiz.. guess i gotta resist this temptation for another 2 weeks. I will be back!
+ Thanks to everyone who showered me with care and concern, especially the siao char bo! haha

First Maple Date

I was apprehensive of the decision i made a week ago. Was it safe to meet a stranger whom i only got to know over a cyber game? Furthermore, it was a male. Daddy and mummy mentioned time and again never to meet a stranger. Guess i bent that rule of theirs. *shrugs*
The time has come. I sat at the end of canteen 4 seeing all the unfamiliar faces enjoying their lunch. I was pretty nervous and fidgety. I looked around, trying to occupy myself with something to do while waiting for him to arrive.
On and on i waited until 12.40pm when a taxi pulled up at the one way road round the canteen. Out he came. Straight away, you can tell that he is well to do. He was apologetic for turning up late due to miscommunication on both of our parts. For that, he treated me to lunch. Impressed...
He surely can chat alot. The line that he used several times,"i guess you must be thinking that i am a spoilt radio which cannot stop talking." Well, probably? haha.. Told me quite abit about himself and i revealed near to 0% of myself.
Eventually, we headed over to the library and continued our conversation. I felt slightly uncomfortable being alone with a guy. I guess i always do. At least there were no long silences that would make the entire atmosphere awkward. He tagged along to find my tennis friends and as usual, they formed their own conclusions. Oh man... I just knew that would happen. And i was right.
One guy + one girl = couple? haiz....

Island wide hunt

I made an impromptu trip to Causeway Point early this afternoon with bro. Thinking of the heavy bag i gotta carry to sch next week puts me off. Eventually, i decided to get a new tennis bag which can hold my laptop, tennis racket and my textbooks.
Climbed up to the 5th level and visited eugene. He looked surprised to see me there. Chatted for a short while before going down to RSH to purchase my tennis bag and bro's puma slippers. So unfortunately, the items which we wanted were out of stock.
We took a train down to J8 to visit dave. As usual, he teased me. Main purpose was to buy eugene's bdae present. Chatted for a short while and had a really good laugh when his in-charge made fun of him. "His mother must have woken up in the middle of the night and fed him bread rising flour instead of baby milk, that's why he became so big size." LOL! Asked my bro whether dave and him were from the same school. " Are both of you from the same school? Coz I thought your school produced such big students." omg.. i just couldn't contain my laughter.
Walked over to RSH which was located on the same level and searched for the bag and slippers once again. Damn. Out of stock. Don't they replenish stocks once the products run low?! Took the train back to Northpoint.
Back at Northpoint, we hoped against all odds that there are stocks. There was none left - out of stock! argh!!! Bro was despondent. He went home while i made many call attempts in getting my tennis bag. After countless phone calls, there was stock at IMM. That's so far away.
Rang stephie jie up for the bus service to IMM. I was pleasantly surprised when she offered to lead me there. Had to trouble her to come out and fetch me, a lost soul in Jurong. Brisk walked into RSH and grabbed the final bag on the shelves. Oh my... what a relief. Thankiew jie! Muacks! Treat you to Cafe Cartel! IT'S A DEAL! *huggies to stephie jie*
And it was home sweet home. My island wide hunt for the tennis bag has ended after 5 hours...

P to the Power of 2

Lecture ended at 10 plus and we ran some book errands before strolling to the library to enjoy the cold blowers. Met Tailun at 12nn to pass him the blaw text. Finally he knew who xiao mei was. I only managed to conduct a brief introduction between them and he was rushing off like some bullet train. Such a shy dude.
Minutes later, we settled down in Pizza Hut to enjoy our yummy pizzas and pasta. There was a wedding ceremony held for me and an unknown groom. Honestly speaking, i was slightly saddened by their portrayal of the intense amount of disdain they had of him. It was beyond clarity that they thoroughly enjoyed the process of sprinkling holy water, getting the bridesmaid and bestman all ready for the ceremony. Much laughter spreaded across the table.
Preceding lunch was pool. The balls jumped once again. Lol.. Billiard, pool, snookers are simply not the types of game for me.

I just hope all of you can accept him for who he is... No matter what happened in the past, i am not letting it hinder what lies ahead. It's impossible to give up at this particular point in time, things are never simple as it seems. I tried, i failed miserably. So, i guess i wanna take things in its own stride. Hope you guys can accept that. Thanks.

New Sch Term

First day of school and it sucked. Although i was in the same class as stephie, we did not belong in the same group. At least we were still together yeah.. i should count my blessings. My jie... lol
There were many breaks in between lectures and all i did was delay time. Practically rotting away in school. Luckily i found people to accompany me on most occasions.
Still not used to waking up early in the morning. Felt so restless after one lesson and totally shut off during the afternoon lecture. Her voice rang in my ears but i was in dreamland, with my head bobbing up and down.
Tomorrow's a long day but there is pizza to perk me up. Yippee! 4 hours of break... Can't wait for this week to just pass by. I rather lessons presume as per normal compared to having long breaks which can bore me to death.
Next week: something to look forward to...

Final Day of Holidays

Today marks the very end of Yr 2 Sem 1's long term break. The next one will come in Yr 3 which is a long way down the road. Yr 2 Sem 2... once again, back to books, notes and more mind boggling projects.
A brand new class with several unknown people. Don't know what to expect and worry if the class can bond well together. If only we can be with the same old people again.. How nice will that be? Not looking forward to the new sem at all. My heart's still in playland, not at all ready to take on the new challenges in the new sem.
Holidays had been great so far. There was much fun, laughter and enjoyment. Managed to get slightly tanner, created a closer bond with the tennis peeps. I will be missing all the tennis sessions shared with them. They had been wonderful.

You had to surprise me with an emotional rollercoaster ride just before the new sem starts. Can you not do that? Quit playing pranks with my heart. It's too much to take. I don't want this affair to hinder my studies. Argh!

Single Date

Daddy drove mummy and me to Causeway Point to purchase my new handphone. Upon arriving at Causeway Point, we walked over to the HELLO shop and i was busy screening for the handphone i wanted to get. Unfortunately, it was no longer in stores. In replacement of the model which i wanted, i settled with Sony Ericsson's W700i. Pretty chic and much better looking that the one i used to hold. With a contract attached, the price of the hp was a mere $138. Woo~
However, i had a huge problem. It was my very first time using Sony Ericsson's phones. The keys carried different functions from Nokia's. I spent more than 5 mins sending a msg out. Oh geez..
Met ah tan at J8 for a movie and dinner. He taught me the features of the phone and the short cut keys. Still received several jay chou songs from him.. Mua ha ha ha... Sat in Mac, shared a cup of drink and explored the different features of the handphone.
Till it was about time, we took the lift to the entrance of GV. We caught Rob-B-Hood. Super duper hilarious and there was this touching part.. Teared a little. Worth my $7. The movie lasted for 2 hours and by that time, my tummy was groaning in protest. Ah tan suggested Pastamania and in we went.
Eat till both had tummyaches. lol.. A plate of spaghetti, drink and garlic bread [he had an additional bowl of soup] made us bloated. In the end, we sat there chatting until i noticed the time. Gotta reach home before 8pm and it was 7.35pm alr.. Oh God....

Stolen Handphone

The day started off badly. On my way to YCK, my handphone was stolen by a pickpocket. Amazingly, i didn't panic. I just wanted to call daddy immediately to inform him of the loss. Fortunately, i was meeting ah tan to go for tennis together. The line was cancelled shortly after. Phew..
Slightly saddened by the fact that i lost all my contacts. Primary school frenz, secondary sch frenz, some poly frenz whom i seldom contact.. Now, i gotta retrieve all the lost contacts again. Additional work for me.
This incident made me realise how careless i was with my handphone. Perhaps lessons can only be learnt when an incident like this hits hard on you. The importance of taking more precaution in handling my valuables.

World Trade Centre

After tennis, i followed eugene, chris and tailun to Cine to catch WTC. The show did not turn out as i expected it to. It was not an action-packed movie. It's more of a recount of the september 11 attacks which occured in 2001. Two survivors related their ordeal faced during that period. Out of a total of 2400+ people who were trapped under the debris or otherwise missing, only 20 had been found and rescued. Hundreds and hundreds of fire fighters and police personnel who risked their lives in saving those trapped, perished as well.
In conclusion, it's a draggy movie which doesn't perk up the interest of the audience. Although there were bits of hilarious parts peppered into the movie, it doesn't add spice to the movie at all. I would give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Afterwhich, chris and eugene dragged me to AMK for dinner. Both didn't allow me to go home before i took my dinner. =( So ps, eating in front of both of them after failing repeatedly in persuading them i can fill myself at home. Dinner lasted for 20 mins or so before we headed to the arcade. Once again, both of them played Daytona. All the games seemed so difficult to play.. Just not for me. Lingered at the arcade for a pretty long period of time before we called it a day and boarded the bus for home.

Hazy days

My week revolved around tennis and home. No tennis meant slacking at home. Not at home meant i was in school jogging and playing tennis. Kinda addicted to tennis lately. Played 3 times in a week.
Recently, the Indonesian fires caused a stir in Singapore and Malaysia. The PSI rose drastically to an all time high of 150 last night. Over at my side, the sky was foggy and gloomy. Dampened my spirits for tennis this coming monday. Followed the news closely on the latest PSI readings. If it hits above 100, tennis has to be cancelled. Argh! Final week to play tennis and yet may face the possibility of being cancelled. How sickening.
Furthermore, it's not advisable to stay outdoors. And having finished my book, i have practically nothing to do at home. Thus, i am glued to the seat in front of my computer the entire day. How bored can life get at times?
Quotes from the book:
- Quis custodiet ipsos custodes
- Everything is possible. The impossible just takes longer
- Force a hand and it will fight you. Convince a mind to think as you want it to, and you have an ally.

House Visits

Sher, stephie, lainee and i rode in baoyi's dad's car and headed down to her house for bbq. Baoyi invited us up to her room and we sat down chatting and viewing her photos, autographs and collection of cards. Her room has a cozy touch. Loved the green walls. So many soft toys..
Probably half and hour later, we were back down at the foyer, bbq-ing the food. The pit was burning hot and the heat was rising. In the end, i just settled down eating the food instead of bbq-ing. We crapped thru the evening and into the nite. Lainee fed us with her latest theory of eating fish. Seems logical? lol.. Laughed till my tummy was tight.
Having seen baoyi's house, now it was time to see lainee's house. Triple storeys and an additional open rooftop. It was the most stylish house i've seen. Simply georgous. Oh.. her globe.. i loved it. Spinned till i was slightly dizzy. If only i owned one, i would be in it everyday. Shall call it my little hermit hideout. Mirror mirror on the wall.. Just look around, mirrors everywhere. I see myself everywhere! I guess the maid's going to have a hard time cleaning the entire house. It was spick and span. lol..
2 house visits in 1 day. haha.. But it was really fun.
+Thanks by for the bbq. It was splendid!
+ Thanks lainee for that little house viewing. Loved every part of ur house.
