Long Afternoon

Lecture only commenced at 3pm today. To take advantage of using the car for a final time before it was sent to the scrapyard, daddy decided to fetch me to school. On the way, along with mummy and bel, we dropped by tiong bahru market for lunch.
It has been revamped. Had been years since i last stepped into that market. So spacious and much cleaner than the previous. Pleasing to the eye.
To prevent my gastricitis from acting up, daddy ordered a plate of rice with char siew and roasted pork. Made me eat several mouth full before i can take the main course which was none other than the lor mee daddy told me about.
Like i had mentioned, next up was lor mee. The stew was thick and starchy, added with grinded chilli paste, slices of chilli padi, lots of black vinegar and a spoonful of chopped garlic. Moreover, big pieces of fried fish and their crumbs were spreaded over the noodles. Yummilicious!
After finishing that big bowl of lor mee, daddy called another bowl of kuay chap. Geez.. we can surely eat. Bel especially. Such a young girl with a small tummy but can contain much more than me. I just ate a little of the ingredients that accompanied the bowl of kueh. Daddy and mummy claimed that it was nice. Dunno?
That's 3 types of food already. Upon seeing the chicken rice, daddy said he wanted to try it out. Ordered again. Whoosh.. food and more food. My tummy was packed with food, more and it would burst. Since it had been ordered and we were sharing it, i took a mouthful of rice and some soup. Hmm.. quite good.
Drinks were the last. I couldn't finish one can of drink on my own after that heavy lunch. Bel was my "little rubbish bin". Haha.. that little girl. Constantly placing emphasis that she was undergoing puberty and thus that intake of food. Ok.. point noted.. She's growing and me..? SHRINKING!! lol
After settling our lunch, daddy and mummy were deciding on what to buy home for dinner. Following alongside daddy, we walked to the roasted duck rice stall.
There were a total of 4 workers attending to one stall. Hmm.. quite surprising. Standing around, i noticed 2 rows of photographs with celebrities on them. Seems like this stall is pretty popular. The guy who took pictures with them actually introduced each celebrity on the photographs to us. A mixture of hong kong and singapore artistes. He must have been so proud that this stall is so successful.
Having that lunch experience at the new tiong bahru market was sweet. Yum yum.. shall visit it some time again.
