I've always wondered to myself, why human beings lack control over events that occur in our lives. What one seeks and yearns for, is more often than not, the opposite of what one wants. Most of the time, what one hopes against all odds that it doesn't occur, it unfortunately does. And when one least expects something to occur, it always happens. Such an irony... There is totally no control over how events change and work out in life. In one of the emails i received, it was said that 90% of our life is self-controlled. The other 10% is not within our means of control. Is that true? I doubt so... Decisions may be made but ultimately the different people playing different roles in the event decide on the outcome. So when does one exactly take full control of his life? Taking studies for example, you may have given in your 100% throughout the year, doing well in tests and exams.. but when the final and major paper to decide your fate on the next stage of life comes along, you flung it. It's partially within your control that you presented your answers in that manner. Besides that, it's also the teachers who mark the papers and the setter of the paper who will eventually determine your final score. How they decide to allocate points on the various answers you provided for each question. Is that within your control? This issue has been on my mind since i was an adolescent. Perhaps i'm too much into dreaming a life of fantasy. Perhaps i'm too engaged in creating perfect characters which cannot be found in the real world. Perhaps i've always been yearning for the best and unable to reach the peak that i've set. Perhaps perhaps perhaps... Left clueless.
