I had another early morning, heading down to Bugis at 7am to pray. Since mummy didn't want Bel to attend the make-up tuition class at 12pm, the alternative was 10am. Therefore, we took a cab down and within half an hour, we were done. Geez.. it was only 8.15am then. In order to waste some time, we took the train to Khatib, ate breakfast in Mac and shopped awhile in NTUC before sending Bel for her tuition. Back home, rested for a short while before heading out to fetch the maplers. Since darling lost her way to Yishun, an hour was spent at Yishun mrt station, lingering around and chatting. By the time all of us reached my place, it was pretty late. Had yummilicious pizza and soon after, it was time to head down to New Cathay for our movie. Entered the cinema 10 mins late and had to catch the show without a beginning. Epic movie was hilarious. The entire show was made up of many different characters from the countless movies screened. The storyline was simple to comprehend and it was a lighthearted show. But it's those watch-it-once-and-never-will-catch-it-again kind of show. [That's for me, at least.] Walked over to PS and spent some time deciding on our choice of restaurant for dinner. Finally, we settled with Fish Market. The food was pretty tasty. Gor's Baked Fish with Garden Herbs was special. If only mummy can cook it, yums~. Kin Chin and I had some King Norwegian Salmon thingy which tasted pretty normal to me. Tere and Rachel had Fish and Chips, while small Daniel and Eric had Salmon with Cajun Sauce thingy. Den had some Alaska Fish thingy. Fortunately, Tere made one merlion shot only. And she murdered her fish. Poor fish. Lol. After dinner, we walked on the streets and alas, there was the Chingay Parade going on. Weee~ my first time catching it live. It was hard to get a good view since many had already occupied the front spaces. I was left tip-toeing most of the time. For once, being tall is definitely an advantage. Just look at Gor standing so comfortably at a spot and watching it, made me envy him. Grrrrr... The parade was very fanciful. And it's internationalised? I didn't know that. Performers from all over the world took part in the float. It was a pleasant sight to view the different colours walking past. Then came partying time! Woo hoo~ Fancy me partying on the streets of Orchard for the first time. It was definitely an experience worth remembering. Dancing with Gor, Eric, Tere, Daniel and Rachel, we grooved and jumped to the beats of the retro songs blasting outside Ngee Ann City. Whahaha~ it was such fun. Though the atmosphere wasn't at its peak, it was pretty cool to join in and let loose. The human chain was formed and it broke many times. Lol. Gave up eventually and carry on dancing after some rest. Just sweat it all out. Weeee~! Simply fantastic. By that time, it was 11 plus. Gotta head home before mummy nags. Fabulous day out! =))
