IKEA

With part of the heart expecting the worst and the other part nervous yet excited, i hurriedly logged into NPAL to check my exam results. Today was the release of past semestral examination results. Heaved a sigh of relief as i did not fare as badly as i thought i had even though my GPA dropped by 0.075, which is quite a huge margin. So the resultant GPA is still acceptable and considered satisfactory. Must be contented yeah? Haha..
Before long, i was on the way to IKEA Furniture store with my family. Holy cow, it is extremely huge. Surrounded by Courts Megastore and Giant hypermarket, IKEA still stands out among them.
We started off at the children's section viewing the various showrooms, usual necessities in a kid's room, etc... On and on we walked, fascinated by the designs came up by designers around the world. There was this dining table which can be extended by sliding apart the both ends of the table and adding planks of extension in the middle. From a table of six to eight to a table of twelve or more. Cool man!
I loved the study room area where they showcased different designs of the study table, book shelves, work area, etc. Just seeing how neatly everything can be placed gave me that sudden urge to re-renovate gor's room and make it awesomely classy and business-like.
There were the bedroom section, kitchen section, dining room section, living room section and various bathrooms incorporated within these sections. Simply fabulous. That's when money can do wonders if you have your own home. Purchase whatever you like, do-it-yourself and design it in a way like no other. The beauty of IKEA. =)
Since we were hungry by then, off we went to the restaurant cum cafe and had lunch. I had Swedish meatballs and chocolate almond cake. Daddy had chicken with chips combo set and he took extra buns since it's self service. Lol. *shrugs* Mummy had chicken wings, chicken pie and lime jelly. Bel ordered curry chicken with rice and chocolate mousse. And we shared the food. Mamamia~!
Making our way down to the first level after lunch, we viewed kitchen ware, lightings and lamps, mats, photoframes, scented flower petals, vases and potted plants. I held up a potted plant and shook it to make it look as if it is alive. Mimicking how a live plant would speak, i said, "Oh no, not me, not me. I don't want to be the next victim!" Directing it to daddy, he laughed out loud and said shit you. Whahahaha.. Know the reason why? Daddy's plants withered and died once they were taken care of by him i.e. he has no green fingers. =x
Then we came to this huge area whereby you pick the boxes of furniture which you had initially recorded down while viewing. IKEA has this amazing culture such that you choose whatever furniture you wish to purchase and record down the wood number and various details on pieces of paper and pencil provided. Unable to reach those furniture high above and help will be provided. I just love the outlay and culture of IKEA. Soon, we were out of IKEA and made our way to Causeway Point shopping mall.
Finally, i bought my 1/2 inch heels. A silvery grey pair of shoes. Happy me! Gotta start with low heels and slowly advance higher. Lol. Country bumpkin who doesn't know how to walk properly in heels. Looked at the earrings but they were all dangling ones, unsuitable for me. Soon after, we were on our way home. Dinner's bread! Haha.. shall eat less after 2 days of indulgence and somemore, tomorrow's another big meal to look forward to at Tiong Bahru! Weeee~
