People can be pain in the neck at times. Why this sudden thought, you may ask me. Well, i've had several encounters with people who befriend me with the mere intention of getting help from me. Those whom i seldom mix with, those whom i rarely come into contact with... A phone call or a message springs out from nowhere and asks for favours. And the number doesn't dwindle. In fact, it increases as i mix with more people. Once... twice... thrice... It carries on and on. At times, i lament on the fact as to why people are so thick-skinned. Only when they require a favour from me, will they then seek for me. Am i an aide or a last resort to them? I do not really mind helping them but there is a limit to the level where my irritability starts acting up. Time and again, i do you the favour you requested. What do i gain in return - nothing. Probably this is human nature. Those who are too soft-hearted get taken advantage of most of the time. Just like daddy, i share a similar fate as him. Ask me to reject one's request to help, i can't do it. If only i took away some of mummy's "hard-hearted" genes. Sometimes, i suppose it really does help. I'm quite tired of continually doing others a favour at the expense of both time and money. If only you can give me a break, i will be more than thankful. Treat me like a normal human being. I'm not angelic for god's sake. There is this chinese proverb which came to my mind as i wrote this entry. "yoŭ lái yoŭ qù"
