Lately, time became my enemy. Gruelling work dispelled all ideas on getting home early for a good night's rest. By the time i hit the sack, my mind drifted off to lala land. My life was no longer within my control. Work became the instant manipulator. Now, the weekend has arrived. Here i am blogging after cancelling my morning tennis, owing to the sudden downpour. Feeling sleepy having stayed up pretty late last night, i'm still hounded by the deadlines i need to meet these two days. Working is no easy feat. It sips all my energy and restores a portion of it during the night, only to be used up fully by lunchtime the following day. Though there were times i wanted out, i can't bring myself to surrender without putting up a good fight. Furthermore, it's inevitable that i'm going to be faced with such situations for the rest of my life till that very day i dream of having, comes along. Days turn to weeks. Weeks grow into months and before we know it, the year has ended again. Simple arithmetic tells the number of years left before adulthood strikes. Suddenly, i prefer living in the life of a teenager.
