Daddy wanted to get a pair of Bally shoes and we went all the way down to Taka. Saw none to his liking, so we shopped on the 3rd level of Taka, look-see look-see at the male apparels. Uninterested in MALE apparels, i people watched. It's nice to people watch in Orchard for i get to see fashion and trends emerging from unique individuals. Ladies and men alike, all donned pretty clothes. Totally unlike that of the heartlanders. Haha... Anyway, Daddy looked at shoes again and stopped in front of a rack with hmm.. lots of black leather shoes. Wasn't interested, like i was saying, until the guy in front of me looked up at me. Our eyes met for a split second before he immediately looked down at the shoes he was trying on. I had a weird feeling in me. Somehow i seemed to have seen him before. Yet, i can't put a name to that familiar face. Then, realisation struck me. It was JET LI. Shit. And my heart fluttered. Seeing an international star seated right in front of you... That can only happen once in a life time [unless i become an international artiste myself, which is impossible]. Didn't really have a good look at him but his face was pock marked. If he wasn't an international star, i bet none would have noticed him nor given him a second glance. He's short, seriously. Probably 165 - 170cm? And he was dressed horribly. In a crumpled navy blue jacket and monk-like shoes. Haha... Totally unlike his star-like portrayals on TV. No longer shoe shopping but Jet Li watching. Lol. Out from the male section, we went to CS to get some groceries. Yeps, and that was my Sunday. Ho ho... Posted by Lynette at |
