Life in NTU

Sunday:
On the final day of my post-poly holidays, i met up with Dave, Chris and Eugene to catch Money No Enough 2. It was a heartwarming movie, with lots of ticklish moments. Not bad for a show after a 10-year comeback with overwhelming response from the locals.

It was a bold move to criticise Singaporeans in a homegrown movie, but to a certain extent, it was so true. Singaporeans are too law abiding. Love to complain yet after awhile, the fever dies down and everything is back to normal. We always accept what the Government says eventually.

Throughout the show, it emphasized on two very important points. Firstly, not to lust after greed and secondly, to cherish the deep, unconditional love parents have for their children, to the extent of sacrificing themselves. A touching movie which clearly expressed the hearts of many.

Since the movie was right smacked in between lunch hours, we headed to Fish & Co. immediately after the show. Darn hungry. Yum yum~ The sharkie freeze was so huge and sour. It was perfect for pregnant ladies who feel nauseate during their first two trimesters.

This Week:
Return to school spelt the need to exercise more effort in studying. But not merely in academics. I'm going to enrich my life in Uni. The final lap before i step foot into some living hell for at least the next 10 years to come.

Just the first week but i'm laden with loads of work. A project announced just this week is due in 3 weeks' time. Holy cow... A tutorial took me more than 3 hours to complete. Content wise, what was covered in poly was merely the tip of an iceberg. No wonder we couldn't have an advantage in skipping a year.

And pitting against elites from JCs and other Polys is really exhausting. Competition is extremely intense. Hear them speak and i truly wonder if i made the right choice in going to NTU.

Furthermore, the seminars conducted by Profs are really fast paced. I had problems keeping up with the speed. An adaptability problem which i hope will ease off in the near future.

Bless me. Hopefully i can complete this sonic speed semester smoothly.
