Hair Cut

The humidity in Singapore is getting on my nerves. With my hair slowly inching its way down my back, i can hardly bear the heat any longer. And so, today, i went to have my hair snipped off.

Not totally, no intention to go bald and be associated with some charity "stunts" like many other women do.

An estimated length of 4 inches were cut off. It always feels good after a hair cut. Not only do i feel my head no longer weighing me down, it's also easier to manage and far more cooling. In addition, i am now spared from my parents' naggings. Not because they asked me to have my hair cut, but because the ends of my hair happen to be hungry whenever i have my meals. Dipping into soups, taking a lick at my rice... I bet you can imagine that.

So yes, enough of the maddeningly long hair (at least to me it was), they were snipped off. Come to think of it, it took a year to grow to the length i previously had and less than an hour to have it removed. And within the same time period, it was reduced to a non-living thing and lost its thread of life. The magic of scissors. Haha.. what lame sh*t am i crapping about?

In any case, Bao Bao and i will be showing off our new hairdos on Thursday to our lovely darlings. Actually, not anything new on my side.. just reverting back to my old hairstyle before it grew. But i can't say the same for Bao Bao. We are (i hope) in for a surprise, right? *Giggles*
